Ridgeback X2.1, Dual Track, Mountain Bike, 2013 A robust all-rounder that's self-assured on rough terrain yet feels comfortably balanced on city streets & canal towpaths. Sometimes referred to as a 29'er, Dual Track has its roots in mountain biking but in reality the design is more off-road hybrid than mtb. Using 700c road rims instead of traditional 26 inch wheels, the Dual Track's larger tyres give the bike a longer contact patch for enhanced traction whilst rolling over lumps & bumps more smoothly. Specified with either a straight bladed Cro-Moly or SR suspension fork, all models use a 48 tooth triple chainset for fast road riding whilst having the additional benefit of wide ratio mountain bike gearing to cope with nature's undulations out on the trail. Wide section Continental or Maxxis tyres, triple density lock-on grips & a Kevlar reinforced saddle complete the package.
