Techniques in the carbon layup & monocoque frame construction are based initially on the Wilier Zero 7, focussing on efficiant delivery of power, & thousands of hours in the wind tunnel developing their time trial bikes has taught Wilier how to achieve the most effective dynamic airflow & aerodynamics. Applying these features to the slightly more forgiving geometry of the Cento Uno results in a very capable all-rounder with stable handling wether cornering at speed, cruising or climbing. Wilier Gran Tourismo The beautifully balanced Gran Tourismo frame brings the same combination of ' Smooth Rear' & ' Razors Edge' construction & geometry as the higher priced Campagnolo Athena equipped version of this bike, but brings the final price significantly lower by replacing the 11 speed Athena gearing with 10 speed Centaur, the Fulcrum R3 wheelset with Fulcrum R4, & the forks to Wilier's full carbon standard forks. If you think you'd be able to feel the difference in ride quality associated with these downgrades then Chapeau to you sir, but for most of us mere mortals it's the excellent Gran Tourismo frame that makes this bike shine & the Campagnolo Centaur & Fulcrum Racing 4 wheels will be an upgrade from what we're used to.
