The sturdy 7mm straight-cut overlap cladding allows for natural timber movement in changing weather conditions and is supported by a 28x28 frame. As with all of The Better Shed Range, this shed is modular. With smaller panels, there is more framing than in standard sheds, resulting in a much stronger build. The modular design also means the panels are less prone to warping. Joins in the modular construction are protected by outer weather covering strips to prevent any water ingress. All of this
shed’s timber has been pressure treated. The process forces preservative deep into the timber resulting in an impressive 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay without the need for further treatments. This superior treatment will therefore save you time and money in the long run. While most sheds come with an OSB floor as standard, this garden shed includes a super 14mm boarded timber floor. Far superior to OSB flooring, this wooden floor is built to withstand storage of your heavier items as well as years of footfall. The floor is further strengthened by pressure treated bearers. The roof is made from 8mm OSB and covered in a durable roof felt. Reflecting the high quality of this shed, the roof is finished with smooth planed barge boards and a decorative finial. You can
rest assured that your stored contents will be secure. The single door of this shed features Z-bracing for increased strength while the hidden hinges cannot be tampered with from the outside. The door is fitted with a hasp and staple closure, ready for you to add a padlock (padlock not included). The single door can be left or right hand opening. This shed features two windows which, due to the unique modular format of this shed, you can place in a variety of positions on the shed. This shed should only be built on a level, hard surface and ideally placed on a shed base. You can purchase a lean-to kit to provide this shed with a partially sheltered extension ideal for logs, outdoor storage boxes and other equipment that can withstand some exposure. Please note that this is not available for purchase separately or for retro-fitting as it needs to be installed at the same time as the shed is assembled. Shed Base Options Wooden Shed Base Kit As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution. The wooden shed base consists of a framework that is made from UC4 incised timber which has been pressure treated. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Size of base: 7.5cm (h) x 212.1cm (w) x 147.1cm (d) Plastic Shed Base Kit Quick and simple to install, the 7x5 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and
durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry. To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 40mm. This pack contains 15 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.
