The Bontrager Montrose Comp Bike Saddle is an affordable saddle for road or mountain use. The Montrose Comp is built for Bontrager’s Posture 2 position which tends to suit racers & fast, aggressive riders. For road riders this means you’ll be spending a lot of time on the drops. For mountain bikers you’ll likely be riding a fast XC or marathon bike. The Montrose Comp has more rounded edges than the Elite or Pro version to make it easier to get off the back of the saddle on descents. The Posture 2 position on the Montrose gives increased stability when sitting on the nose of the saddle & better pressure distribution throughout. The Contour Relief Zone Plus (CRZ+) full saddle cutaway gives better soft tissue protection for extra comfort on longer rides. To keep the price down the Montrose Comp uses steel rails rather than the titanium & carbon fibre used on the Montrose Elite & Pro. To compensate for the slightly harsher ride this will give the Montrose Comp has a bit more padding than the more expensive saddles.
