The Cannondale Quick CX 2 2019 Hybrid Bike is designed to handle anything from roads to forest tracks, old railway lines & the roughest cycle paths. The CX 2 comes with a simple, low maintenance 1x 11 gear setup. The single chainring at the front means less moving parts but you still get plenty of help on the hills. Cannondale made their name with their innovative aluminium frames & with the Quick CX you get the benefit of their expertise. The result is a lightweight Smartform C2 aluminium frame with Cannondale’s micro-suspension built in. These are small areas of the frame designed to flex slightly, without any moving parts, to help soak up bumps & vibrations, giving you a smoother & more comfortable ride. To make the ride even smoother the Quick CX comes with a front suspension fork & wide 38c tyres with a multi-surface tread to give you plenty of grip. If you are planning to use the Quick CX for commuting, or even for a bit of light touring, the frame comes with mounts for pannier racks & full mudguards. The CX 2 uses a 1x gear setup, which is quickly becoming the standard on mountain bikes due to their enhanced reliability & low maintenance. While the CX 2 is good for light off-road use it also has the wheels & lightweight frame of a road bike so you get plenty of speed &, for longer road sections, the suspension fork has a lockout.
