The 2020 Orbea Avant H50 Road Bike in Blue/ Red is the second bike in Orbea’s road bike range. It is built around Orbea’s Endurance Geometry which they use on the entire Avant range. This is designed to put you in a riding position that is comfortable for long days in the saddle on roads with varying surfaces. You will still be going fast but won’t be in the extreme stretched out riding position used by pro racers. As well as being more comfortable the Endurance geometry makes the bike easier to handle for riders new to road bikes & makes it easier to see where you are going & pick your way through traffic. The Orbea Avant H50 is built around a lightweight hydroformed triple butted aluminium frame with a carbon fibre fork to help soak up bumps & vibrations from the road. It also comes fitted with 25c tyres, slightly wider than the traditional 23c, to soak up more bumps & give you more grip without compromising your speed. The frame has internal cable routing to give your bike a cleaner look. The Avant H50 comes with 2 x 9 speed Shimano Sora gearing (giving 18 gears total) compared to the 2 x 8 speed gearing on the entry level H60. Both use a wide 11 – 32T cassette so you have plenty of options for getting up hills. The Sora gearing is lighter & better quality than the gears found on the entry level H60 so you will get smoother shifting for longer. This bike perfect for Riders looking for the first proper road bike. The Avant is fast enough to keep up on group rides & comfortable enough to ride all day, even on bumpy country lanes.
