The Bontrager Big Dipper MIPS Kids Cycling Helmet brings the added protection of MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) to kids. MIPS was developed by brain surgeons & scientists to allow a small amount of movement in the helmet on impact, helping to reduce rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head & adding an extra layer of protection. As well as the MIPS Brain protection the Big Dipper has a moulded EPS shell that gives extended coverage at the sides & back to protect more of the your kid’s head. To help get the helmet on & off more easily it comes with a magnetic buckle that simply snaps together without the risk of pinching skin. The Big Dipper MIPS helmet is available in a range of colours, all of which come with extra reflective elements to improve visibility. All in all this is a really well thought out, & extra safe, kids helmet aimed at children aged 4 to 7 with a head circumference between 48cm & 52cm.
