Beaucarnea Recurvata Fabulous tree-like perennial! This is an intriguing tree-like perennial which stores water in its bulbous trunk, allowing it to be extremely drought tolerant. The woody stem rises up & is topped with a dense growth of slender, evergreen leaves which will arch downwards in an elegant display. Mature specimens will really make a fine addition to a heated conservatory with constant temperatures of above 5C (41F). Occasionally a well-grown & mature plant will even produce a spray or two of tiny white flowers in the summer months. It loves a bright sunny space, & smaller specimens will thrive on a bright windowsill. In the summer months it can be moved to a sunny patio outside. Feed & water moderately over the summer months. Then during the winter months, reduce the amount of watering so that the soil is kept barely moist.
