Grown in the States from 1840, there is suspicion that Jersey Wakefield actually made its way to America from Yorkshire! This pointed, sweet cabbage is resistant to splitting & very compact with few outer leaves, so it wont take up too much room in your veg patch. Light green in colour, Jersey Wakefield will be ready in early summer, letting you use it for coleslaw, salads or any number of dishes. Definitely one of my families must grow veg!
