Cornus Kousa Teutonia Creamy white flowers that get a pink blush to them with maturity Cornus Kousa Teutonia is a strong growing variety with beautiful large clusters of creamy white flowers that get a touch of pink blush to them with maturity. The autumn colour is wonderful, providing a long season of interest & colour in any garden it lives in. This kind is not a shrub which makes an appearance in every garden, but they are definitely worth the grow! Pink-red fruits replace the blooms in late summer, & this compact Japanese Dogwood is particularly prized for its deciduous foliage that turns to a gorgeous violet-red in autumn. With age, this large shrub or small multi-stemmed tree makes an elegant focal point in the garden & becomes a spectacular specimen. Height & Spread: 5m (16.5'). ...

Arguably one of the best Cornus for winter stem colour with its bright & vivid stems of orange & red that stand out in any situation. The colour of the stem changes as it goes up the stem from yellow at the base, through orange & then a bright red near the tips. It looks stunning whether planted on its own or as a spectacle in groups. Other varieties produce similar colours but none seem to have the same vigour & intensity as this one & often appear a little weak so this is sure one of the best. To make the display even better, prune each stem hard, back to a few inches at the end of the winter or after flowering as the new growth will produce the best colours in the following winter. The soft green leaves in the summer also add to the occasion in autumn as they turn to lovely shades of orange & yellow. Clusters of white flowers are also produced during spring. Flowers April-May. Height 201-250cm (79-98); spread 201-250cm (79-98). Supplied in a 3 litre pot. ...

The dramatic violet, black stems of ' Kesselringii' is the key attraction to this deciduous shrub, which when planted with either other Cornus, Birch or salix (Willow) produce really eye catching displays during the winter. During May & June, clusters of white flowers are also produced above the mid green foliage of this deciduous shrub which if pruned hard every year as we recommend will not only help intensify the colours of the stems but also help to keep the plant more compact. Height 150-200cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot. Amazing stems that provide colour & interest in the garden throughout the winter. ...
