Cryptanthus Rubin Star Boasts a star-like shape also known as the Starfish Plant! Forming a star-like shape with its layers of tapered leaves, it’s no wonder that Cryptanthus ' Rubin Star' has become known as Starfish Plant & Earth Star. This vibrant tropical variety makes a fantastic, low-maintenance house plant, providing some bold colour to your home decor with its bright pink hue. Adapted to tropical, humid climates, it is perfectly happy in a warm, bright position in the home. The ideal room would be a bathroom or kitchen with a minimum temperature of 15C (60F). They also make reptile & amphibian safe additions to vivarium’s & terrariums. To help with the humidity mist them regularly with rainwater. Water regularly to maintain evenly moist soil. Reduce watering in the winter months, but do not let the compost dry out completely. Feed regularly between March & September when they are inactive growth. Use a heavily diluted solution of a balanced fertiliser.
