Dracaena fragrans Tornado Undemanding & easy to grow! This twisted dark green foliage has bold lime green margins which make this house plant incredibly alluring! Each glossy leaf is curiously curled & twisted clockwise to display an amazing & eye-catching whirlpool effect. As a young plant Dracaena fragrans ‘ Tornado’ has a low rounded shape that sits perfectly on a worktop or coffee table. With maturity, it eventually extends upwards to produce an upright central stem, which then makes a wonderful floor-standing specimen. This magnificent Dragon Tree is undemanding & easy to grow, which won’t get out of hand quickly as it has a relatively slow growth habit. It is an indoor plant that will adapt to a wide range of conditions making it even more versatile. Keep a Dracaena plant in a warm room away from radiators & any cold draughts, ideally with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). For the optimum leaf colour, choose a bright position in a well-lit space, but away from the glare of the strong sun. Dracaena can also cope equally well in shade. Water freely between the spring & autumn using tepid rainwater if possible, & allow the pot to drain well after each watering. In the winter months, reduce watering but do not allow the soil to dry out. Feed regularly between March & September when they are inactive growth. The lower leaves of Dracaena will naturally die back as the plant grows so just carefully remove them to maintain a tidy appearance.
