A breakthrough in blackberry breeding. The most unique aspect of Reuben is that it is a primocane, therefore the plant will fruit on the first years growth, in the same way as autumn fruiting raspberries do. The plant also has an upright growth habit, making it a far cry from the usual wild blackberry. The fruits are large, measuring up to 4.5cm (2) in length.
