Calendulas are a great little flower. Not only do they add a burst of orange & yellow to your plot, but they attract a multitude of beneficial insects too. You can pick them & use them as cut flowers & theyre easy to grow

Then again, why not dry the orange petals & use them as poor mans saffron, they will colour & flavour your rice & desserts at a fraction of the price of true saffron.
