Forsythia Intermedia Nimbus A small shrub which makes a big impact! This delightful compact Forsythia Intermedia ‘ Nimbus’ may be on the slightly smaller side, but it makes an impressively big impact in the garden in early spring when it erupts into a profusion of vibrant yellow blooms & rich foliage. Growing to 75cm (30) high, its characteristics are a must-have in the garden & become a truly knockout display in a pot or border. This colourful & interesting shrub is ideal if you plan to include it in a flower border, but it also wouldnt look out of place at the front of a shrub border too! Container grown plants will require annual dressing with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser & regular watering throughout the summer months. Border grown plants will require less attention. In late spring after flowering has finished, prune Forsythia by cutting back all flowered shoots to a healthy pair of leaves. On established Forsythia plants, cut back up to a fifth of the oldest shoots to their base, to encourage healthy new growth & improve flowering. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
