Photinia fraseri ' Red Robin' is also known by its common name Christmas Berry. It is a popular choice for evergreen hedging. The young leaves emerge a vibrant red colour which gradually change to glossy dark green as they mature. In April & May it bears rounded domes of creamy white flowers. Photinia can be clipped to form hedging, & this also promotes the growth of new young leaves with their attractive colouring.
