Commonly known as ' Giant Rhubarb', this is the largest of this hardy species. Plants need plenty of space, but make a superb specimen in a moist, bogy area of the garden or alongside a large pond. The huge, umbrella-like leaves boast attractive prickly undersides, & the small greenish flowers are an added bonus. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Flowers in May. Height 1.5-2.5m (5-8'). Spread 2.5-4m (8-13'). Supplied in a 9cm pot.
