Kerria japonica Golden Guinea is a deciduous shrub with slender arching stems bearing mid-green toothed leaves. In spring, the stems are covered in bright yellow star-shaped flowers that add colour to the garden when little else is flowering. Kerria japonica is a very undemanding plant that will grow in sun or shade & in most soil conditions. It flowers on new growth, so to keep it from looking scruffy, cut it back hard after flowering. It spreads by suckering & can become invasive if not checked. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Height 150-200cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
