Meconopsis belong to the poppy family (Papaveraceae), but they are not true poppies (Papaver). Commonly known as Himalayan Poppies, these magnificent & much admired perennials bear breathtaking poppy-like flowers. The clump-forming plants are fully hardy & prefer a lime-free soil.
