A magnificent evergreen tree that was first introduced from Tasmania in 1820. It boasts attractive fern-like foliage that is prized in flower arrangements, & produces large racemes of highly fragrant yellow flowers in early spring. It can tolerate several degrees of frost & can be successfully grown outside in the milder areas of the UK, or in a large pot in a conservatory in colder regions. Flowers February-April. Height 12m in 20 years. Supplied in a 3 litre pot. The perfect garden should invoke all the senses, & any garden without fragrant flowers is missing an absolutely essential ingredient that will make it complete. A few strategically positioned plants, alongside paths or by the back door, will fill the air with their scent, & take your enjoyment of your garden to a whole new level.
