A clematis that originated from Nepal & parts of southern China. It loses all its foliage in late spring, early summer & is dormant throughout the hottest months of the year. Late autumn it will grow new foliage, followed by clusters of flowers in early winter. The flowers are scented & look like greeny-yellow bells with attractive red-violet stamens. After the flowers fade, fluffy seed heads develop & can last for several months. Perfect for a courtyard garden or cool conservatory, where it will create interest in the darkest months of the year.
