Clematis ‘ Mrs Cholmondeley’
- Clematis plant Clematis ‘ Mrs Cholmondeley’ is a medium-sized deciduous climber that produces stunning violet flowers. It grows to a great height of 3m (10’) & spreads delicately to around 1m (3’). This Clematis blooms from June until September, with wide flowers in a lavender-blue colour. It has distinguished dark veins running through each petal with nut-brown anthers. Old man’s beard looks superb in cottage gardens, on patio’s & grown along walls & fences. This Clematis plant has deep green foliage that would look great spiralling up a trellis or an obelisk as a focal point in your garden. Clematis ‘ Mrs Cholmondeley’ grows best in a sunny position with partial shade available, be sure to keep it in light shade due to its pastel petals fading in the direct sunlight. Abundant blooms are borne from May until September. Lightly prune after first flush of flowers. Height 250-300cm.
