Trained as a mini standard with a twisted stem, it makes the perfect gift for any occasion. This stunning house plant has delicately perfumed blooms which flower between June & October, & they smell exquisite too. The Cape Jasmine will love a home in a brightly lit spot where it will make an elegant focal point, delivering instant style to any room. Gardenias are not the easiest to grow & a lot of people often discard it after flowering. However, they are well worth making an extra effort for! The placement of a Gardenia is key to help them thrive. Select a brightly lit position, but not in the direct sunlight, with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). Avoid positions near to cold draughts & radiators. Water frequently between spring & autumn using tepid rainwater if possible & allow the pot to drain well each time. In winter, reduce the amount of watering but do not let the compost dry out completely. Feed regularly between March & September when they are in active growth. Gardenia appreciates a humid atmosphere so place it on a tray filled with pebbles & water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant.
