violet-blue flowers on bushy clumps of variegated creamy-edged, fern-like foliage from late spring to early summer. Flowers late May-July. Height 30-45cm (12-18); spread 45-60cm (18-24). Supplied in a 9cm pot. Adrian Bloom says... As a gardener or nurseryman, spotting potentially good new seedling plants is part of the fun, & even better when it turns out after trials to be a good reliable garden plant. As Bressingham amongst a large batch of the seed raised Polemonium 'violet Rain' one seedling stood out for its vigour, deep violet leaves & tall spikes of contrasting pale blue fragrant flowers. This distinctive selection deserved the Bressingham violet name. Although the foliage becomes greener in summer, this is a very striking early flowering perennial, best in sun or light shade where not too wet (or dry!).
