This is a unique kind of primrose, totally unlike more commonly grown forms. The leaves are thick & waxy, held in a low evergreen rosette. Clusters of fragrant flowers appear through the spring, in muted shades of cranberry red, with a contrasting bright-yellow eye. Choose a partly shaded site with rich, moist soil.
