For the second year in a row, Belvedere are supporting the RED foundation with a new design on the bottle. It is a special edition to raise proceeds for the Global Fund, among the worlds leading financier of programs to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. This Special edition bottle was developed by Polish design firm Dekorglass that has created an eye catching semitransparent metallic bottle. 50% of the profits from the global sale of the (Belvedere) RED will contribute to the global fund. Inside the bottle it is still the same naturally smooth Belvedere vodka within the bottle but help to fight to eliminate HIV/AIDS through a simple purchase of (BELVEDERE) RED. Throughout the year Belvedere will unveil events to incentivize more consumers to support (BELVEDERE) RED such as in-store promotions & night out to support world AIDS Day. In 2011 alone, purchases of (BELVEDERE) RED provided more than two million days of life saving HIV/AIDS medicine which helped 5000 people with life saving medicine for one year. (RED) was founded by Bono & Bobby Shriver in 2006 to engage businesses & consumers in the fight against AIDS. Some other businesses involved with (RED) are Apple, The Coca-Cola Company, American Express, Nike & many more. To Date (RED) has generated over $190 Million for the Global Fund which has been able to help 14 million people with the prevention, treatment, counselling & HIV treatment.
