Roberto Cavalli has created there own wine from Tuscany Italy, it is a premium blended wine being harvested in 2008 & bottled in 2011. The weather in 2008 was quite normal with a good rainfall until the end of June. The summer was mild with temperatures that were high but never excessive, this then favoured the development of good acidity & moderate alcohol level. The harvest began at the end of August with the Merlot of the Florentine vineyards, & finished in late October, with the petit Verdot of Panzano. On the nose it is intense with a persistent aroma of wild berry fruit closely followed by powerful evolved aromas ranging from tobacco to coffee.
