Glenrothes Select Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region. It was created by malt master John Ramsay & is the first none aged statement bottle from the distillery. Still produced to the same high standards as the Glenrothes Vintages, only here they select & vat from casks from different years to create the Select Reserve. The Glenrothes Select Reserve is matured in oak casks & develops the vintage Glenrothes flavour. This has much to do with the slow distillation in the tall copper stills that deliver a distinctive sweet, clean & fruity spirit. On appearance the Select Reserve is a pale gold colour, the bouquet is of American oak, vanilla & coconut with hints of plums. The palate is full bodied & malty, with medium sweet, vanilla & orange zest bursting through to provide the trademark fruitiness.
