The whisky in the all new Speyburn came from American oak, Fino sherry & ex bourbon casks of the highest quality. The spirit matured entirely in the Speyburn distillery on the banks of Granty Burn. Bottle at cask strength, 46% & non chill-filtered of course to show is natural colour. On the eye the new 25 year old is vibrant & bright, the aroma is rich with lime honey & lemon peel notes, followed by a tint of tropical fruit. The taste is round & smooth, sweet to begin with & then envelopes a toffee, creamy vanilla & grapefruit flavours that float calmly towards a long & warming finish.
