Spend an indulgent afternoon enjoying the grounds at Goldsborough Hall and a delicious afternoon tea. This 17th Century Grade II listed stately hall is set in beautiful, uninterrupted parkland in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Goldsborough Hall is steeped in history and has its very own royal connection; HRH Princess Mary, the Queen’s aunt, lived there in the 1920s after her marriage to Viscount Lascelles. Over the past few years, owner Clare Oglesby and head gardener Ray Farrer have restored the 11 acres of gardens at Goldsborough Hall to their former glory. Garden highlights include snowdrops and spring bulbs, a woodland walk and summer herbaceous borders. In the grounds there are some magnificent and ancient trees including a giant redwood, a very rare sorbus, a pseudo
acacia from the 1750s and one of the oldest horse chestnut trees left standing in the country.Typical ProgrammeOn arrival you will be welcomed at the reception and given a copy of the garden guidebook to help you make the most of your visit.
