Drive a Radical SR5 racer and feel the full force of this homegrown racing machine! This is the only Radical SR5 we know of that's available for public drives in the whole world making it one of the most exclusive race car drives we sell. In fact only 27 of these special series SR5s were manufactured by Peterborough-based Radical Sportcars. The idea was to create an endurosport race car capable of competing in long distance races. The result was this LMP-inspired SR5 - and it's pretty awesome. In case you're wondering LMP stands for Le Mans Prototype. That goes some way to explaining the design of this special SR5. From the drive planes to the diffusers and carbon bi-plane wing it's all about maximising downforce. Weighing in at just 570kg the SR5 is certainly the featherweight of the racing world - and it handles beautifully. Setting this Radical apart the SRS is powered by a Honda K20 car engine (found in the likes of the Honda Civic Type R) as opposed to a motorbike engine...

The team competes in the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship with a two-car squad so this lot certainly know their stuff when it comes to going fast in cars!Speed is the essence of this experience. These 'junior' single seaters as they are called are anything but second fiddle when you see that they run on 1.6l Ford EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engines. And yes 1.6 might not sound very big but when you think how little these things weigh and with the super aerodynamic design you'll be easily doing 0-100mph by the time you've read to the end of this paragraph - remember Formula 1 runs a 1.6 litre turbo too!For this thrilling experience you will be a passenger in a unique race car. Specifically designed and built for this vibrant motorsport team you will be sitting in the rear seat of a proper racing machine. But who will be driving?Well that's where it gets even more interesting. An ex-Euroboss F1 driver will be doing the honours. A car like this will simply be putty in their hands and where we'd be braking or at least lifting off the accelerator these guys just carry on at full throttle. They have an awful lot of bottle. The Boxster is the most compact of the Porsches. On the motorway you might feel a bit sandwiched in between all the big lorries and bulky SUVs. This is Formula 1000! F1000 is one of the most popular single seater motorsport categories in the UK. This is your chance to drive one of these amazing open-wheelers on a circuit. It's going to be fast. Very fast. Let's see if you've got what it takes to be a bonafide Formula 1000 racing driver…If you're wondering what the 1000 bit of the name Formula 1000 means it alludes to the capacity of the engines in these single seaters. And these are 1000cc motorbike engines we're talking about here. Yep a powerful motorbike engine in a car. Crazy but true! So. Shape a super lightweight monocoque chassis stick a four cylinder motorbike engine it and watch it go! This combination of a motorcycle engine in a car (that's really light) gives you massively impressive performance figures: top speed 150mph 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds and a rev counter that bounces nicely up to 14 000rpm. And seeing as it does 0-100mph in just 4.75 seconds it's also reassuring to find out that the F1000 brakes at 125m...

The car was the standard from 2000-2009 for this racing series that is renowned and revered around Europe and beyond. The single seaters you'll be driving in are in tip-top racing condition and are constructed with a racing Tatuus chassis the Renault 2.0l 16v Alpine Race engine six speed sequential gear box and more than a hint of F1 styling. As you'll be driving on your own in these cars all exp...
Join a genuine motorsport racing team for a thrilling single seater track drive! These experiences use fully prepped cars that are being driven in the current Formula Renault and Formula Ford Championships in the UK giving you one of the most authentic days out on the circuit possible. It's a case of 'move over team drivers it's time to give us amateurs a go!' when you get your hands on the steering wheel of a genuine racing machine. The Renault single seater has a Tatuus chassis and a 2 litre Renault Clio engine inside. Now that may not sound very impressive but when we tell you these things do 0-60mph in just 2.7 seconds and can get to 100mph in less then five we think you'll agree the stats speak for themselves. The Formula Ford open-wheeler is a very similar beast when it comes to lap times and acceleration. Underneath those wings and attached to those slicks is a Sinter chassis developed in close partnership with the race team that hosts these single seat track days. Inside it's all very F1 with six-speed sequential gear box and yes there's even space for an onboard camera to capture your every move (images of which are included in the Gold experience package). The engine in these beasts is 1.6 litre turbo just like Lewis Hamilton's F1 car! And at almost 200bhp they're well on the way to giving you the best idea of what it's like to be him!So what can you expect on your single seater experience day? First up you need to have a safety briefing and then get yourself kitted out in a race suit and full face helmet. Then you have to get fitted into the seat. This is because proper racing seats are how can we put it rather snug (hence the height restrictions of 5ft-6ft4") and they need to be to stop you being buffeted and knocked around whilst you drive. And remember these are actual race cars used in the current Ford and Renault single seater driving Championship and these track days are run by one of the motorsport teams competing in the series so by participating in a single seater track day you will get an insight into just how a professional team is run as it supports young hopefuls as they drive their way up through the ranks of FIA-approved motor racing.
Combine a Formula 1 driving experience that's nearly as good as the real thing with a dose of full size fun in miniature on the Scalextric tracks and you've got the best indoor raceway session you could ask for. This one is destined to bring out the big kid in you that's for sure! This unique set up near Oldham may look incongruous from the outside but inside it's a veritable den of delights for motoring fans with the star of the show being the full size sim. This thing looks very much like a real F1 car with huge Pirelli slick tyres a sleek silver body and even the on-board camera set just behind the driver's head.Race suit zipped up and full face helmet on slide yourself into the cockpit and you'll be totally immersed in the world of Formula One driving. The steering wheel is that distinctive shape with gear change lights and it boasts full force feedback so you will feeling just what the FIA drivers feel through their hands when they are accelerating around that high-speed circuit.Talking of circuits the great thing about simulating the whole experience is that you can drive any circuit you like! No bumpy old airfield track here you can take your pick from all the pro tracks in the F1 series. Fancy flooring it through the dark tunnel and out into the bright Med sunshine at the port in Monaco? Want to try Monza's signature Parabolica corner - that a long right hander that sets you up for the super fast home straight? Or maybe you're more of a Brit racer who would love to take on the multi-turn complex that is Becketts at the legendary Silverstone? The experience is driven just like a normal Grand Prix with you sitting in the simulator for some initial practice laps followed by a qualifying session to determine grid positions then the actual race itself. With all the noises swirling around and the impressive three-screen graphics in front of you this is one simulation that's going to get you stimulated to drive to your absolute limit. We can highly recommend that you opt for the bolt-on Scalextric option on these Formula 1 driving experiences. A session on the slot cars will take you right back to the good old days when you'd spend hours and hours being mesmerised by little cars going round the track. It's incredibly addictive and just as good as you remember it to be. In fact it's even better as these giant tracks boast four to six lanes and each one is themed. We loved the snowy 119ft pro circuit and the Rocky track complete with trains trundling around too. But then the City circuit weaving in and out of the skyscrapers is pretty cool too!
Nothing beats driving solo around a track and on this single seater driving experience you'll be doing just that around a challenging purpose-built circuits. So pop your racing helmet on get ready on the start grid and follow those chequered flag dreams! The day you get to drive a single seater starts with familiarisation laps in a performance training car to give you valuable experience of the track so you can drive every corner and curve of the route. Your instructor sitting in the front passenger seat will explain the best way of making smooth rapid progress around the track in readiness for your main 'single-handed' event. You then advance into the world of single seaters finding yourself strapped into the stripped out cockpit of a legendary race tuned 1800cc Formula Ford. These open wheeled racers weigh next to nothing and have handling that's way beyond what you'll have ever experienced before. All current Formula One drivers started their careers going head to head in cars just like this - now it's your turn.As you head out onto the track you'll have to adjust pretty quickly to the fact that it's just you and the single seater out there - there's no room for co-pilots or passengers in these single seater machines. You probably won't remember much from your familiarisation laps as you're bound to be concentrating hard on just keeping a controlled lid on all that amazing power under foot but soon you'll get into the rhythm of it all hopefully getting faster and smoother on each lap.At the end of your single seater driving experience you will be presented with an individual driving assessment and personalised certificate.
