experience will see you
sailing in the Solent on
a skippered yacht on a
half or full day
excursion or for that
extra 'wow' factor an
evening sail so you can
lap up the views as the
sun starts setting over
the water.During the
summer months there
really is nothing more
relaxing than taking to
the seas in a fancy
ocean-going yacht. The
idea behind these charter
experiences is that they
serve as a great
introduction to yachting
if you want to get
involved with the actual
sailing or you can just
relax and gaze out across
the Solent. We
particularly love the
evening sails when the
waters are calmer and
quieter so you can soak
up the last of the
evening sunshine from the
deck of the yacht that
you have 'chartered' from
the marina on the Solent
at Hamble.These super
36ft ocean going yachts
are large enough to
accommodate seven novice
yacht lovers under the
watchful eye of the
yacht's master skipper
whose role is to sail the
vessel out of Hamble and
onto the waters of the
Solent or Southampton so
you can experience the
sheer bliss of being out
on a yacht charter in the
evening when most of the
tourists are long gone or
during the day to mingle
with other water craft
and see all the daytime
activity.Of course you
are perfectly welcome to
simply sit back and enjoy
the sail or you can 'have
a go' as an active crew
member onboard to help
keep this 36ft yacht on
course. Your skipper will
show you what needs to be
done and we've heard he's
full of anecdotes and
fascinating yachting
facts too (like
explaining how a yacht
can sail faster then the
wind!) to keep you
entertained.Your Solent
yacht charter sets sail
from Hamble and lasts
around two hours for the
sunset cruise or a half
or full day for the
daytime Solent sail. It's
totally up to you whether
you get involved in
sailing the yacht on the
Solent or if you prefer
to just relax and take it
all in. Your skipper will
also point out all the
sights for you before you
head back to the harbour
with a nice chilled glass
of vino in hand or if
you're on the day sail
there's a steady supply
of hot drinks and
