There's definitely something brewing in the arches of the London Beer Lab! This funky community brewery opens its doors to hold regular beer brewing & tasting workshops with the intention of showing you just how easy it is to make your own beer even with no prior experience (other than drinking the stuff that is). Tucked away behind a residential street in Brixton you'll find the London Beer Lab in a converted railway arch. Downstairs are the bottle shop & brewing supplies section along with tables & a bar area that has a couple of nice draft brews on tap ready to be tasted. Upstairs is the nerve-centre of this beer brewing laboratory. The head brewer has a wealth of recipes at their disposal with all the necessary ingredients to h&. After selecting the brews for the day you will then take part in the beer-making process. Despite looking like tea urns the Braumeister vats that the London Beer Lab uses are really quite fancy. They are automatic & computer-controlled to pretty much ensure you can't make a bad batch of beer. As long as you follow the recipe & add in the hops & malts at the right time your batch of London-made beer is going to taste good. Of course you probably won't have such high-tech brew vats at home so the London Beer Lab team is always up for chatting about & giving advice on home brewing using commonly available domestic kit. It's also really useful to learn all about the different malt & hop options which is what makes each finished beer different
- & these brewers know all about that too! Once the brew's on attention turns to tasting the in-house wares as well as beers from neighbouring London brewers such as Late Knights & By the Horns with the likes of some very nice imported Belgian beers too. Having quenched your thirst with beers from London & beyond it's time to get back to the lab to tend to your brews for the final steps in the brewing process. At the end of your brewing & tasting day at the London Beer Lab you have the choice of taking home eight different bottled beers from the shop or you can opt for a starter kit that'll get you on the road to brewing five litres of your own beer at home. This open-source community brewery in the heart of London is a great place to talk drink & make beer with self-confessed 'beer geeks'!

Immerse yourself in the golden age of the railways on this fantastic steam train day that'll see you being shown just what goes on behind the scenes at this popular heritage railway in Kent known as the ' Jewel in the Weald' that covers 21 miles of the countryside from Tenterden to Bodiam. Lifting the lid on this rural light railway starts in the best way possible
- with introductions to your fellow tour guests & guide along with a nice cup of tea. Then it's off to have a good look around the carriage & wagon workshop where you'll see skilled craftspersons who work day in day out to renovate the rolling stock that are coupled to the steam trains. It really is a labour of love & the team's passion for their work certainly comes across. Your access all areas day then steps up a gear as you climb aboard the first steam train departure of the day from Tenterden to the intermediary Rolvenden station. On arrival at Rolvenden you'll be shown around the locomotive shed where all the heavy engineering takes place to keep these magnificent locos running smoothly on the tracks. & look for the spanners on the wall
- some of them are enormous & look like they'd weigh a ton! You'll then move across the station to have a tour of the fully working signal box to see what all those levers do & then you will be able to watch from the side of tracks as the steam train which departed from Bodiam stops to be filled up with water. Having witnessed this impressive 'refuelling' of the steam train your day continues when you step aboard that train to head back to Tenterden Station for a visit to the Colonel Stephen museum before lunch. The afternoon of your exclusive day out with the steam trains starts with you hopping aboard an afternoon service to experience & enjoy the full 21 mile round trip on the Kent & East Sussex line. Once back at Tenterden your fabulous steam train day comes to a close with a farewell drink & the opportunity to ask any remaining burning questions you may have to the experts. At the end of the day it's all about the wonder of travel by steam train & we think this experience gives you the perfect blend of a guided tour & steam train travel.

The rich & famous might cruise along the highways in their Bentley Continental GT cars but you will be driving the Bentley Continental GT on the track making it much more fun. No speed limits no average speed cameras & no traffic cops. The only problem is of course that you have to give it back after your go. In the not too distant past Bentleys were known for being large elegant & rather stately motor vehicles. Since Volkswagen got involved things have changed but in the good way as most motoring aficionados would agree. Those huge expensive status symbols are still there but the marque has attracted a new hipper & cooler clientel with the Continental GT. Jay-Z sings about them loads of rappers have the GT as their main whip & Paris Hilton has a fully customised pink one complete with diamond encrusted dashboard. OK that last one might be pushing the limits of cool but in essence if you drive a Bentley you're rich & you want everyone on the road to know it. Your standard Continental GT starts at around £140 000 & that's before all your dazzling & stylised extras. Whilst these vehicles are not known as sports cars they do get out on the track & compete in race series such as Le Mans & a Continental GT actually holds the world ice speed record set by Finnish WRC champ Juha Kankkunen in his personal GT. Quite amazing for a car that weighs in at over 2.5 tonnes the V12 version you'll be driving today on the track will do 0-60mph in around 4.7 seconds & can nudge a 200mph top speed. Again not bad for a car whose reputation is more about the elegance & supreme comfort of the ride rather than the power stats. This experience will see you driving the Bentley Continental GT for either three or six miles around a professional-standard tarmac race track. With enough straight to get the rev counter jumping as you hit that tiptronic transmission & an ample numbers of corners to test that all wheel drive handling we think you'll agree that actually being at the wheel of one on the track is way better than singing about them or coasting along Rodeo Drive at a snail's pace. ...

Meet the very best of British supercars on this quintessentially British driving experience! These sessions offer up a superlative pair of supercars that are to put it simply the epitome of Cool Britannia. Time to wave the Union Jack this is home-grown motoring at it's best. For these drives it's Aston vs Atom. For both manufacturers the engineering design & build skills that produce these supercars are all British-based. Indeed it's almost enough to make you get those leather driving gloves out & utter 'I say old chap' as you slide into the driver's seat ready to launch yourself onto the track in these very British motors. So it's time for you to take the first of the Brit boys out on the track. The Aston Martin DB9 needs no introduction. This is the punchier racier model with a mahoosive V12 engine capable of a head-spinning 190mph. As well as looking lovely on the outside on the inside it's just as fantastic with a finely tuned engine & that F1-style paddle gearshift... ...

The Best of British drives! When you think of British coupés two marques of car immediately spring to mind: Jaguar & Aston Martin. Little wonder then that this driving session will see you getting behind the wheel of an E-Type Jaguar & an Aston Martin DB9. Both fabulous coupés that are truly an honour to drive. This Aston Martin vs Jaguar experience is a friendly duel. One is a modern day masterpiece of automotive design style & build whilst the other is an much-loved absolute classic.. Both epitomise the best of the British car industry & more specifically sporty British drives. The Jaguar E-Type was in production during the late 1960s & early 1970s the heyday of the true coupé car. Technically to be a coupé it has to be a fixed-roof car with just two doors & two seats. No room for passengers or loads of luggage these cars were all about looks & speed. Indeed the E-Type is a proper British coupé in the purest sense of the word. That huge long bonnet those smoot... ...
