Indoor Archery Northampton
Introducing indoor archery in Northampton! Fire arrows whatever the weather at this wonderful Northamptonshire archery facility. We are offering excellent value 'have a go' sessions for you to give this fun target sport a try. An indoor archery centre like this one in Northampton is a rare thing. It means you can go and shoot some arrows during the day at weekends and perhaps more importantly in the evenings to fit in with our ever-increasingly busy lifestyles. Paul Hopkins is the man behind this successful Northamptonshire archery centre. Open since 2018 the passionate archer has created a superb set-up. It's bright and airy and has been designed with a line of archery lanes each one with a classic round target to shoot at. You'll be welcomed by Paul who'll explain what'll happen on your
taster archery experience. You'll then be kitted out with a modern recurve bow (they're the same sort of bows as used in the Olympics) before heading to your lane on the range. Once in position how to lift and hold your bow will be explained to you along with how to load (or 'knock' in archery speak) your arrows. Stance sorted arrow knocked and you're ready to release. Paul will give you tips on how best to take aim and before you know it you'll be getting those arrows flying straight and true. As a beginner you'll start at around six metres away from the targets moving progressively further away as your skills improve. And to give you an idea competitive archery is at 18-metres - which seems impossibly far away! Your introductory indoor archery session in Northampton will last around an
hour and in that time you'll be surprised how far you'll progress. Paul is a great teacher with budding archers praising his patience and clear instructing. Suitable for all ages from ten years old anyone can try indoor archery at anytime come rain or shine!
