When you jet ski in Scotland it's pretty special. This Loch in Dumfries & Galloway is a classic example of how much fun jet skiing can be. Clear & fresh-flowing waters stunning mountainous backdrops & a friendly welcome mean it's a great place for all forms of watersports. Measuring in at over 100 acres there's plenty of room for all sorts of powered watercraft on Loch Auchenreoch too. It's a busy slipway here with jet skiers & flyboarders all making the most of these Scottish inland waters. This operator runs with a fleet of Yamaha Waverunner XVs the machines that revolutionised the personal watercraft market & the best selling jetski series ever. These powerful & cleaner running four-stroke jet skis are the sit down models. That means they are really easy to ride. A push of the ignition & the craft starts. After that it's a case of holding onto the handlebars & using the pull throttle to control your speed. There are no brakes it's all about applying & lifting off the gas. All this along with a full water user safety briefing will be explained to you on the loch side by a member of the jet ski team at this Scotland base before you launch. They'll stay with you to ensure you're happy & confident at the controls (these jet skis seat two so an instructor can ride out with you if needs be) & once they give you the OK you'll be free to ride. Free to explore to whizz up & down start practicing those tight turns & generally have a real hoot on your Yamaha as you run the waves. These jetskis are agile yet surprisingly comfortable & on a fast straight run are very stable too. Basically they are really really enjoyable & you don't need to be a watersport motorbike or boating enthusiast to ride one. As well as the quality craft & assured tuition we think the setting for these jet skis in Scotland is a real bonus. You can totally make a day of it here & with The Inn at the Loch serving food on a lovely terrace overlooking the water it's just a lovely place to hang out. & if you stay until the sun goes down you might just be treated to a spectacular sunset to round off your day of jet skiing near Dumfries. ...

These huge indoor parks are really capturing the imagination of the nation allowing you to go jumping bouncing & boinging your way around on & over a multitude of modules. It's time to get the spring back into your life! There are trampoline parks & then there are trampoline arenas. To be classed as an arena the jump park has to cover at least 30 000 square feet - & that's just the category we're talking about here for these experiences. Quite frankly these places are vast. When you walk in for the first time you're bound to look around wide-eyed in awe at it all. With brilliantly vivid colours & funky lighting they are dazzling bright & fantastic too. On this fabulous hovercraft experience both the kids & grown ups can get involved! Normally these hovercraft racing sessions are just for kids but the big kids are always keen to have a go too.
Seeing as the setting for these sessions is a big soggy marshland at Frodsham in Cheshire youngsters & grown ups will need to make sure they are wearing the right clothing for hovercrafting. It has to be clothes you don't mind getting wet or splattered with mud (all part of the thrill of being a budding hovercraft pilot!) as well as an old pair of trainers. Then with the team here in Cheshire providing the proper racing style helmet both mini & maxi hover heros are ready to go!
These cool hovercrafts are actually pretty easy to pilot so even the littlest of kids can do it. With one main control rod & no brakes (!) it's all about learning to lean into the corners & controlling your speed according to the terrain.
The expert instructors will show the children (and adults) how everything works in the paddock area. Then it's fan on skirt inflated with air & time to head off over the grassl&. In case you were wondering instructors ride with the kids for safety & weight reasons. We think youngsters will be amazed at just how agile noisy & full-on these mad machines can be - they're a proper handful just like any awkward teenager can be! Needless to say the grown ups think it’s great fun too.
And don't forget this isn't simply a ride. Our hovercraft experience will see your little devils piloting a hovercraft around this purpose-built course in Cheshire. Some might even suss out how to do a 360 spin go backwards & even sideways in these cadet hovers which is sure to show the hovercrafting Mums & Dads up. It’ll definitely be something to tell their school mates about on Monday morning that’s for sure! ...
