The Taster gives you 15-minutes of drive time the Experience 30-minutes & the Extended is 45-minutes behind the wheel. Your time at Stafford Driving Circuit begins with a safety briefing where you’ll be introduced to your instructor & the 4x 4 vehicle you’ll be using. The centre has a fleet of Land Rover Defenders built to cope with the extreme pressures of off-roading. Chug through mud baths negotiate rutted tracks & marvel at the steep climbs that are child’s play to these offroaders.

Your instructor is with you throughout your course & they’ll give you advice & tuition as the lesson progresses. However it’s up to you to get the 4x 4 from start to finish on this tricky route. In recognition of your achievement you’ll receive a personalised certificate to take home as well as a better understanding of off-roading techniques.

Prepare yourself for proper offroading in Wales! This part of South Wales was pretty much made for 4x 4 experiences like these. You'll be on Ty Rhiw Farm in Taff Wells which has the perfect mix of trees farmland & hills to show off these trials 4x 4s to the very best of their capabilities. The terrain at this centre in-land from Cardiff is as tough as the vehicles you'll be in. We're talking fully-prepped off roaders that started life as standard Land Rovers before being modified to become competition-standard trials vehicles. & in fact these 4x 4s have competed in many an actual trials comp. Thats because we've got 4x 4 demos at offroad venues the length & breadth of the country with the very best in 4x 4 vehicles revved up & waiting for you. These passenger rides all have the same aim: to show you just what these 4x 4s can do. When we say thrill ride you might think of high speed & acceleration. In the case of a 4x 4 passenger ride it's all about low speeds & torque but that doesn't mean a ride in an off roader is any less thrilling. Far from it in fact. These vehicles are tough well-built & scared of nothing. They go places you would never even dream of attempting in your average family hatchback. Some of the settings for these 4x 4 passenger experiences are pretty wild. We're talking former quarries & airfields forests & riverside tracks too. Most use the natural topography of the land to its best advantage adding in some classic manmade obstacles to add an extra dimension for drivers & passengers. A see-saw here a log roll there & some very steep drops all to get the thrill levels increased even though you're nowhere near breaking the speed limit! It's worth noting how these passenger rides work. The cars can seat up to four passengers with your expert 4x 4 instructor at the wheel. Each participant has an allocated ten or so minutes for their experience but when passengers are grouped together the ride time is accumulated. So for example if there are three of you in the car you'll all be out on the track in the same car together for 30 minutes. No matter how long you are out on the circuit for in the 4x 4 one thing's for sure
- it's going to be a thrilling ride. Expect bumps lumps some chassis rattling & even a bit of side sliding. It's certainly true these off road vehicles can get themselves into some sticky situations but never fear these formidable 4x 4s can power their way out of them too.
