There may be talk of soggy bottoms & chat over what makes a good crumb but there'll also be lots of hands on time for you to be able to make some truly stunning baked goods or desserts that'd be good enough to get the judges's eyes twinkling if they tasted it & maybe earn you a handshake. All the ingredients you need are included in this bake off course & your expert baker host will be holding your hand every step of the way. & unlike the technical challenge on the TV show the recipes you'll be presented with will be complete so they'll be no guessing how long your soufflé needs to be cooked for or whether you should add butter before or after the sugar. As you're whisking your egg whites & waiting for your milk to reach the optimum temperature on the stove you try not to think about what happens if your 'creme pat' comes out curdled or your ganache lacks panache. Those expressions of sad disappointment on the faces of the judges in the TV show are enough to spur all budding bakers on to do their best & that's just what these cake making courses aim to do
