His team has many many hours of experience on a huge roster of aircraft from fast jets in the Forces to commercial airline work. Charlie himself passed 1000 hours in a Spitfire back in 2014. Put simply these are the instructors who train instructors & pilots on the Spitfire.. These ultimate Spitfire training days are offered at Headcorn in Kent & North Weald in Essex. Both are exceptional locations offering the freedom of uncontrolled airspace. Headcorn boasts direct access to all the famous Battle of Britain locations from Capel-le-Ferne to the White Cliffs. As for North Weald it played a crucial role as a Spitfire fighter base during the Battle of Britain as RAF North Weald.. Welcome to the Under 17 Motorsport Academy! On this experience youngsters are able to have a go at driving an MX-5 in a safe controlled environment. It's all about building up confidence in a relaxed & fun way away from the public roads to give your kids a head start in motoring. These sessions are open to children aged between 11 & 16 years old with a minimum height of 4ft 8" (so they can reach the pedals). The car used for these under 17 experiences is a bit of a legend in motorsport circles: the MX-5. This little Japanese two-seater is a sporty number with both soft tops & coupés available.
