The secret of this energy saving cooking lies in the highly efficient stainless steel pot, the airtight lid & the heat retaining properties of the melamine bowl. Start cooking on the hob in the stainless steel pot – for example vegetables, rice, a chicken breast, a casserole, even fruit. Leave the food to cook on the hob for the required time (see examples below or take a look at the Hotpan cooking chart) then transfer the lidded stainless steel pot to the coloured melamine bowl & leave on a work surface.
