Ben Nevis Ben Nevis Distillery is a Highland distillery situated at Inverlochy just north of Fort William on the west coast of Scotland & rests at the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest mountain. Ben Nevis Distillery was established by John Mc Donald in 1825 & in order to meet the demand for fine Ben Nevis Highland malt whisky the Nevis Distillery was established in 1878. Nevis Distillery closed in 1908. A Coffey’s Still was installed in Ben Nevis Distillery in 1955 & both malt & grain whiskies were produced simultaneously until 1981.
