Because Scotland’s whisky blenders are able to standardise the colour, strength & taste in their blends their customers are assured of consistency in a product which may be marketed over a number of years. Formally known as a Vatted Malt. Beyond the smoky, medicinal core there is a seam of subtle yellow fruit. The deep smokiness of the palate leaves a warming kiss of peat which lingers long into the finish. In short, this is an Islay drinker’s Islay.
