Lightly-peated Islay single malt. Characteristic emerald green bottle holds a whisky that is nutty & floral with underlying fruity notes. Bunnahabhain Bunnahabhain Distillery was established in 1881 on the north eastern tip of the Isle of Islay by the shore of Bunnahabhain Bay & overlooking the Sound of Islay. All the building materials were transported by puffer & unloaded at the distillery pier. Now tucked away at the end of the single track ‘main’ road with spectacular scenery all the way. Bunnahabhain Distillery is equipped with four huge pear shaped stills & produces Scottish malt whisky which is released in blends & single malts. Visitors are welcomed at the distillery visitor centre & distillery cottages are available for holiday lets. A participant in Feis Ile, the annual Islay Festival of Malt & Music. The nose offers a fresh & aromatic experience with a subtle whiff of smoke floating through the air. The taste starts with a light fruit & nut appeal that leads to a spectacular malty sweetness, finishing into a beautifully rich full-bodied, lingering experience.
