A limited edition release commemorating a decade since the birth of Swedish malt whisky at Mackmyra. Mackmyra (Sweden) Mackmyra Distillery was established in 1999 at Valbo near Gävle in south east Sweden & is the oldest working distillery in Sweden. Malted barley is dried with peat & Juniper smoke at Mackmyra Distillery & a small proportion of the new spirit matured in Swedish oak casks. Commercial production commenced at Mackmyra Distillery in 2002 & casks have been laid to rest at a number of unusual sites including an old mine, on a tiny island & in a castle. The first Mackmyra Swedish single malt whisky was released in 2006. Spicy whisky with hints of Swedish oak, roasted ice cream wafers, tar & acidic ginger drops. A Swedish malt whisky in memory of days gone by.
