Our approach to chardonnay is one of exacting precision & restriction of embellishment. The fruit & subsequent wine is raised in a stoic fashion void of any unnecessary interpretation. The objective is to exhibit site character in the most lucid & transparent way possible without the distraction of any extraneous intervention that would callously be imposed in the cellar. With the goal of expressing a comprehensive expression of the appellation, we selected five unique vineyard sites to create this Sta. Rita Hills bottling. This blend is comprised of Mount Carmel, 3-D, Gnesa, Sea Smoke & Zotovich. While each lot is handled separately & in a completely uniform fashion in the winery, each contributes vastly different expressions which ultimately harmonize in the finished wine. Rich aromas of lemon, kiwi, orange blossom & sweet basil are followed by a more precise flavor profile of jasmine, lime & ginger. Extremely taut, focused & dry palate impression. ...

Stems play a vital role in our pinot noir where we view their involvement as not something added to the equation but simply something that has not been removed. They are an integral part of each cluster, much like the role played by a skeleton to its attached flesh & help to provide architecture to the finished wine. Whole cluster fermentation also helps to complement the inherent spherical tendencies of our appellation towards a more Cartesian end point. This bottling is comprised of 100% estate pinot noir from three vineyards within the AVA. Mount Carmel, 3-D & Machado all contribute to the wine which exhibits a drive, richness & pedigree expressive of our special growing area coupled with the purity of fruit & firm structure which have been the trademark of Brewer
- Clifton. Pomegranate, anise, & Pu-erh tea aromatics set the stage for the flavours of dried cherries, dried wild mushroom & baker’s cocoa flavors that follow. Tender & cohesive in the mouth with a very firm & savoury palate impression & finish. 1661 cases produced

Juniper is the star attraction but theres a cascade of zesty citrus on the nose with hints of candied orange, a whisper of pine & spice too. Its rich & creamy in the mouth & deliciously satisfying when swallowed, with no hint of burn. The waves of citrus finish go on forever, backed by an exhilarating underlying seaside freshness. Its 57% proof also holds the flavour better & enhances the botanicals, & it means you need less gin in your glass to get that refreshing juniper flavour really pushing through to your taste buds. A true sipping gin, the Seaside Strength Navy Gin is best served neat over ice or half & half with your favourite tonic & a wheel of lime. ...

Clear & bright in the glass, the subtle notes of juniper come to the fore as you swirl, releasing sweet-scented fresh citrus & a touch of spice. The persistent hints of orange make this gin gentle & approachable. Brighton Gin, whose other botanicals include angelica, lime & milk thistle (well-known for cleansing the liver
- helping you to detox as you tox, so to speak), makes a deeply refreshing G&T
- in which instance, we recommend serving it with a slice of orange to bring the fresh orange peel botanical to the fore. Versatile & adaptable, Brighton Gin also works brilliantly as a Martini & is exceptional as part of a Negroni. This is a subtle, ruminative gin &, thanks to its softness, Brighton Gin is also delicious sipped neat, over ice with a slice of orange.
