The Cuvee William Deutz Rose contains all the excitement & vividness of an exceptional champagne. Its colour is a pure shade of topaz. Richly balanced, silky & deliciously fruity, it shows aromas of raspberry, strawberry & grenadine. The finish is expansive, with flavours of mild tobacco, peach & grilled almonds that come together in a harmonious & heady symphony. The 2000 Brut Rose Cuvee William Deutz emerges from the glass with a big, masculine expression of fruit. Darker, baritone notes develop in the glass, adding weight & richness. A broad-shouldered, expansive wine, the Rose Cuvee William Deutz is beginning to show early signs of tertiary development, although it has the stuffing to age well for a number of years. The wine finishes with gorgeous inner perfume, which only adds to the impression of phenomenal balance.
- 95 points, The Wine Advocate, December 2010. A wine of finesse, offering subtle aromas & flavours of berry, citrus, floral & mineral. Though intense, this is elegant & layered, with terrific harmony & superb grip on the lingering aftertaste of dried berry & mineral.
