Saturated violet/onyx colour & heady aromas of blackberry & anise introduce a muscular malbec of regal structure & weight. COBOS - Nico Cabernet Malbec 2006 75cl Bottle

Created in honour of Don Nico Marchiori, patriarch of Marchiori Vineyard, this complex, powerful and refined 2006 vintage offers aromas of ripe blackberries, red currant, dark cherries and toasted brioche. The muscular palate unfolds in elegant layers of ripe black fruits, strawberries and notes of smoke, dried herbs and cigar box. Very fine-grained tannins frame this seamless wine and lead on to a silky, persistent finish. Despite snow and higher than normal precipitation in late spring, the 2006 growing season was warm and dry overall. Summer temperatures were moderate and even.
