It is a tribute to our ancestors the Barberini Family, produced when the vintage allows it from a special selection of our domaine, well known for its concentration & its opulence. The modern winemaking style with optimization of the extraction but without excess, gives a powerful wine with silky tannins. Domaine De La Madone - Fleurie 2010 75cl Bottle

The traditional vintage constitutes the majority of what is produced in the vineyard. Vinified using the whole grape, and fermented over a period of 7-8 days, it encapsulates all the qualities one would expect from a Fleurie wine. It tastes smooth, and lusciously fruity, with subtle but nevertheless tangible tannins. It can be drunk young, but also improves with age. We recommend the wine be consumed within 2-4 years. The 2010 vintage is medium purple/ruby in colour with sweet, ripe floral aromas on the nose which follow through on the palate. A spritely cocktail of summer fruits enchant - cherry, strawberry and raspberry with a lick of cream and spice. It has good concentration and perfect balance. Ready to drink now, it will evolve over the coming three to four years. Fleurie
makes a great aperitif, lightly chilled, but will accompany many varied dishes such as duck pate, sausage and mash, calves' liver or braised ham.
