Pouilly-Fuisse is an important wine appellation in the Mconnais district of Burgundy. This appellation is restricted to the Chardonnay grape. The richest wines are said to come from Fuisse & Solutre. There is no concept of Premier Cru vineyards in this appellation, but Pouilly-Fuisse may be followed by the name of a specific vineyard. Domaine Ferrand is situated in the village Solutre-Pouilly in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation of southern Burgundy. The domaine now comprises of just over 11 hectares of vineyards that have been passed down from father to son over three generations. Today the domaine is run by Madame Nadine Ferrand whose wines have been well reviewed by the Guide Hachette.
