Slightly nutty, with fresh green apples coming through. Warming. Clean. Green apples & grass with a hint of sweet liquorice. After Water: Sweeter. Linseed oil & almonds. Sweet & malty. A medley of fruity notes with lively lemon, ripe pears, & finished with sweet golden syrup. Incredibly smooth & well balanced, with dynamic fruity notes, interlaced with sweet vanilla & lemon sweets. Hidden in the Braes of Glenlivet, lies the croft of Auchavaich. As one of the first landmarks out of the distillery, it would have been the starting point for the smugglers to begin the long journey along the route. This isolated landscape has hardly changed since George Smith, The Glenlivets founder, first started distilling his whisky all those years ago. ...
