The wine shows a light hay hue & the nose is expressive with notes of fresh citrus zest which is complimented by stone fruit & hints of oak. The palate is an exciting combination of crisp citrus fruit with great complexity, concentration & hints of oak in the background. The wine is elegant with a long & lingering finish. Very fortunate to have had four very exceptional successive vintages for Chardonnay. With the 2015 vintage Paul Cluver produced a very elegant Chardonnay that was very tight with great freshness. 2016 was a vintage with great opulence & more richness. The 2017 vintage gave us a combination of characteristics of both the 2015 & 2016 vintages. ...

Enigma Verte is an outstanding, unfiltered premium absinthe made from a combination of aromatic herbs & plants, including grande & petite wormwood, anise, fennel & hyssop. It uses a grape-base alcohol & is bottled at 72 degrees centigrade, in order to hold its natural green colour & present its aromas to the fullest. Made by following the distillery's own technique of distilling each plant separately, blending the resulting full alcohol distillates & then finishing with an 'esprit vert' ('green spirit'

Because of a continuing expansion into multiple international markets, it was found that many customers who couldn't speak French were having trouble pronouncing & remembering the name ' Fougerolles!'
